Originally called the Theatre of the State of New York, has been home to the New York City Ballet since its opening in 1964. He also served as home to the Opera in New York from 1964-2011. The theater occupies the south of the main plaza of Lincoln Center, Avery Fisher Hall opposite side. The auditorium features continental style seating on the orchestra level , five balconies and a large spherical chandelier in the center of the ceiling with gold paneled.
