One of the indicators that New York is already in the spring season, is the festival of the cherry blossoms or "cherry blossom", better known as Sakura Matsuri at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, this event is held every year at the end April for two days.
Following the Japanese tradition of Hanami people gather around the gardens, in an imaginary world where participants take the opportunity to dress up as their favorite cartoons and may even get to have a sword fight, simply puzzles or playing Chinese chess in this festival, relatives and friends gather to share a barbecue and enjoy the artistic performances

This weekend more than 60 events and performances of traditional Japanese culture, fashion show, bands with their traditional melodies, dance shows offered and of course all in rose petals and white.
