Chanukah:                         December, 2019Date is not confirmed yet!

When they turn on the first candle, the Jewish world began to celebrate the Chanukah or Feast of Luminaries, the religious and family holiday commemorating the victory of the Maccabees over the Hellenized Syrians 2,200 years ago. The celebrations are repeated all over the world, the Feast of Lights, begins on the 25th of the Jewish month of Kislev, and lasts eight days. In the Gregorian calendar, it usually is in December.

The story tells how the Maccabees had a vessel with enough oil to light the temple for one night, but lasted eight nights - the amount of time that it took to make more oil. The celebration is realized turning on the candles in a Menoráh, the chandelier of nine arms. Eight candles are turned on every night of Hanukkah and the ninth candle (Shamash), located in a place of prominence in the center, is used to turn on the other candles.
