Fleet Week or the week of the marine fleets has been celebrated almost every year since 1984, Thousands of sailors, coastguard vessels of the Marines of the United States, and the ships of the Coast guard transport to New York at the end of every May, to commemorate the day of the fallen. This event is celebrated at the Intrepid Museum with an admission fee; however, during the fleet week several free activities occur in NYC including tours in the aircraft carriers located in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Staten Island, there are also air shows in different areas of New York. if you come to New York the last week of May and want to obtain more information about the event go to the website Fleetweeknewyork.com

Boat trips will take place every day throughout the week in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Staten Island. All ships will be open for tours from 8:00 a.m to 5 p.m. but Intrepid Pier, which opens at 10:00 a.m. You will get to see ships of the US Navy. UU.
