Every year during the Halloween season; The Annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade takes place. Participants take it very seriously, the getups are remarkably elaborate and conceptual putting a lot of effort to design and develop the costumes.

​CNN calls it "the biggest dog costume parade in the world" with hundreds of dogs in costumes and thousands of spectators.

From 12:00pm will begin competition in which the best costume will be chosen, once completed will start the parade, which is held inside at the Tompkins Square Park in the East Village.

Our advice:

• Remember the only matter is your dog does not suffer on the costume.
• The suggested donation is $5 at the door
• If you want to participate in the competition there is no need to pre-register, just come and have fun.
