Brooklyn Public Library (BPL), through its Central Branch, the network of other 60 libraries, community groups gives this conversation and reading and learning materials for Spanish speakers interested in learning and practicing English as a second language. Here also talkgroups and book discussions are held regularly to bring together people from different cultures and backgrounds who want to communicate in Spanish or learn it as a second language. One of the best things about living in the "Electronic Age" is that public-that library must literally close its doors at the end of the day-is open virtually 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year with the BPL website, the 2.5 million residents of Brooklyn and countless people have easy access to library resources through the Internet. Brooklyn is enriched with Latin culture thanks to the concentration of Spanish speakers worldwide who live there. Explore many of the resources of the BPL including: lists selected by librarians on many topics for children, adolescents and adults books; online to read the Brooklyn Daily Eagle Online, historic local newspaper in Brooklyn Pulitzer Prize winner, has the function of full-text search with pictures from 1841-1902; Books in different languages; Investigate any subject online using resources consulting the BPL. Furthermore, the communications between networks, you can find the information you need in English, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Hebrew and French, also offers courses for the above languages.
